Leith Moore to be Elected President of the Ontario Home Builders' Association


TORONTO, Sept. 18, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Leith Moore will be elected President of the Ontario Home Builders' Association (OHBA) for 2012 - 2013 at the organization's Annual Meeting of Members to be held on September 24, 2012 in Collingwood.

Leith most recently served as the organization's 1st Vice President and was a member of the Executive Committee. In addition, he is the immediate Past Chair of the GTA-based BILD (Building Industry Land Development Association), having served in that capacity in 2009 and 2010 and he continues to serve on BILD's Executive Committee.

With 30 years experience in the building/development industry, Leith is Vice President of Development with the Sorbara Development Group – a real estate company with 50 years' experience in land development and investment, project management, industrial and residential construction throughout the GTA.

Leith is a graduate of the School of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Waterloo—and he is now an adjunct professor at his alma mater. He is also a past chair of Evergreen, a national non-profit environmental charity.

The Ontario Home Builders' Association is the voice of the residential construction and professional renovation industry in Ontario representing 4,000 member companies organized into 29 local associations across the province.
