Ocean Oil has extended the contract for the use of the Safe Jasminia by 91 days as from 11 June 2000. The contract, which is a bareboat contract, has a value of approx. NOK 29 mill.
The extension is a confirmation of the strength of the Mexican market in which a high activity level is expected in connection with the development of the Cantarell field the next years. Based on this, ProSafe expects to at least have 4 rigs in Mexico during 2001.
Currently, ProSafe experiences 100% fleet utilisation.
