Possible listing of Telenor Media

Telenor Media AS is defined as a related business area rather than a core business within the Telenor group, as are two other subsidiaries: Bravida AS (installation and maintenance) and EDB Business Partner AS (information technology).

Mr. Tormod Hermansen, President and CEO of Telenor, commented on the developments: “The aim of a possible listing of the company is to make apparent the true values of Telenor Media, and also form an offensive basis for further development of the company.”

Telenor Media is a prominent Norwegian supplier of directory services, both in Norway and in ten other European countries. In addition to printed products such as the White, Pink and Yellow pages and smaller regional directories (Ditt Distrikt), Telenor Media has developed leading portals for Internet editions of Yellow Pages and White Pages (Telefonkatalogen).

Telenor Media has a total of 2400 employees, 1500 of which are employed abroad. Outside of Norway, Telenor Media is represented in Spain, France, Russia, Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Iceland and Finland.
