Telenor Media enters the Ukrainian directory market through this acquisition. The objective is to offer a wide range of premium quality directory services in Ukraine. Josef Keller GmbH & Co. Verlags-KG Yellow Pages Ukraine Branch Enterprise is one of the leading directory companies in Ukraine with a total of 50 000 phonebooks published annually.
The agreement was signed in December 2000.
Telenor Media international expansion started in 1995, and today the Norwegian company produces telephone directories (white pages, yellow pages and business-to-business directories) in ten European markets. Telenor Media is planning a further expansion internationally. Countries with significant growth potential are in focus. The experiences and skills obtained in the Norwegian and European markets will be applied to further develop Telenor Medias international operations.
Telenor Media publishes all telephone directories (printed, online and on CD-ROM), the Yellow Pages (printed, Talking Yellow Pages, online and WAP), local telephone directories (printed and online) and a number of other information products in Norway. Internationally, the company is represented in Spain, France, Iceland, Finland, Poland, Russia, the Czech Republic and the Baltic countries.
