Telenor Broadband Services continues to build on operations in Sweden

Per Tengblad has a background as a Bachelor of Commerce and has 20 years experience as a manager in print media, film and TV in Sweden and the rest of the Nordic countries. The last four years as the CEO of Canal Digital he has built up the company in the Nordic region making it the leading distributor of TV channels and interactive services via satellite. Telenor Broadband Services owns 50 per cent of Canal Digital. Canal Plus is the other owner.

Telenor Broadband Services AS is a subsidiary of Telenor ASA, which is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange (TEL) and Nasdaq (TELN). Telenor Broadband Services is one of four core business areas in Telenor and was established following the merger between the business areas Telenor Satellite Services, Telenor TV Distribution and parts of Telenor –commerce. Telenor Broadband Services AS is the largest distributor of analogue and digital television services to end users in the Nordic Region. In 2000 Telenor Broadband Services business area had an annual turnover of approximately NOK 3,5 billion.
