Telenor speeds up the pace: three times faster on the net with your mobile

The service, filter.telenor.no, will constitute the fastest mobile-based Internet access in the market. The accelerator functions by compressing data and discarding irrelevant information such as for example graphics on web pages.

"More and more people are logging on to the Internet with the help of their mobile phones, and with the sense of speed at approximately 50-150 Kb/s, it will now be even easier and more effective to be on the net independent of place and time," said assistant Head of Information, Esben Tuman Johnsen, in Telenor Mobil.

One can use the accelerator regardless of whether one is connected by way of normal GSM, with High Speed or with GPRS. The service is free of charge, and accessible for anyone using Telenor Mobil's Internet (TMI).
