Production from Yemen increased by about 240 barrels per day from December 2003, mainly due to increased production from the Sharyoof field.
An exploration well in block 43 was completed without any hydrocarbons being proved, and drilling of another well is being prepared.
Production from the UK shelf declined by about 710 barrels per day compared with December.
Production from the Norwegian shelf roughly equalled the level produced in December.
The Seven Heads gas field came on stream in December. In January, gas production from the field (100%) averaged approx. 10,320 barrels of oil equivalent per day, of which 12.5 % amounts to 1,290 barrels per day.
The Seven Heads field has lately experienced some problems relating to its gas production. Reference is made to press information from the field operator, Ramco Energy plc.
As has been accounted for in a separate stock exchange notice of today, the sale of DNO's assets in the UK and Ireland has now been closed.
