The German National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (Kassenärtzliche Bundesvereinigung KBV) has certified Agfa's Radiology Information System (RIS) solution, a key condition for any RIS solution to be acceptable in the German healthcare market.
KBV compliance is essential for reimbursement of doctors' invoices for medical activities. Departmental invoicing is often done for outpatients in radiology, requiring a software solution that is KBV certified. Agfa introduced its RIS solution in Germany at the end of 2003 and has quickly obtained KBV approval, confirming compliance with German health insurance regulations.
