Baltika's consolidated net sales in April totalled EEK 89.4 million and increased by 23% compared to April previous year. Retail sales grew 22% yoy and amounted to EEK 73.3 million. Wholesale increased by 15% to EEK 13.4 million. As of the end of April, Baltika Group operated 122 shops with total sales area of 22,531 square metres. The Group opened six and closed two stores in April. The openings took place in Lithuania and Russia. Additionally, one store in Riga, Latvia, was relocated to larger premises resulting in opening of the largest brand store of Monton with sales area of 603 square metres. The enlargement of sales area is due to the expanding of the brand to new product groups. In the first four months of 2007, Baltika opened 14 new stores, including two relocations. A total of 16 openings are planned in the first half of the year.
