Lysaker, 02 August 2006 Nord Pool has received the following information from the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE): Small amounts of inflow - minor drop in reservoir level The effective inflow in Norway was about 50 percent of normal in week 30. As a consequence reservoir levels dropped with 0.4 percentage points to 60.3 percent. At the end of week 30 reservoir levels in Norway was 21.9 percentage pints below normal values. The reservoir level in Sweden dropped with 0.3 percentage points to 64.9 percent. Still the spot prices on electricity increases in the Nordic Region. In week 30 the average price in the South of Norway was Eurocents 5.4/kWh (excl. VAT), increasing with Eurocents 0.2/kWh from week 29. The average price in the Nordic countries has however been significantly lower than in Germany, were the average price in week 30 was Eurocents 13.6/kWh. The price to the household consumers has increased in line with the rise in the wholesale market. The average price on one year fixed contracts from the nationwide suppliers at the start of week 31 was Eurocents 7.6/kWh (incl. VAT).
