Lysaker, 21 December 2005 Nord Pool has received the following information from the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE): So far this year, the inflow to the Norwegian hydropower reservoirs has been 139 TWh, or 23 TWh above normal. At the end of week 50, the reservoir filling level was 82.7 percent, after a reduction of 2.0 percentage points from last week. Despite high Norwegian production this year, the filling level is still 6.9 percentage points above normal, and 8.7 percentage points higher than last year. In Sweden, the filling level is now 73.7 percent, after a reduction of 2.9 percentage points from last week. A spot market contract with a mark-up of 0.025 NOK/kWh, would give a price of 0.365 NOK/kWh for week 50, after a reduction of 0.002 NOK/kWh from week 49.
