Preliminary operating result of the year 2008

According to the pre-audited data Šiaulių bankas AB earned LTL 17.511 million   
(EUR 5.072 million) in net profit during 2008, and the Group of Šiaulių bankas  
AB earned LTL 15.968 million (EUR 4.625 million). The Bank's share in Group's   
profit is LTL 13.527 million (EUR 3.918 million). The reviewed profit plan of   
LTL 19-20 million has not been achieved because of the bigger amount of special 
provisions formed for doubtful assets and because of the loss from operations in
securities.
