CHANGE IN IXONOS PLC´S OWNERSHIP

IXONOS PLC   STOCK EXCHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT 6 May 2009                             

ANNOUNCEMENT UNDER CHAPTER 2, SECTION 10 OF FINLAND'S SECURITIES MARKETS ACT 

Pursuant to chapter 2, section 10 of Finland's Securities Markets Act           
(495/1989), Ixonos Plc has today been informed of the following change in the   
company's ownership:                                                            

Irish Life International has notified Ixonos that on 4 May 2009, Irish Life     
International acquired 557,140 Ixonos shares. As this acquisition corresponds to
5.98 per cent of all Ixonos shares and votes, it exceeds the one-twentieth (5   
per cent) boundary.                                                             

Ixonos' share capital is EUR 372,523.56. It consists of 9,313,089 shares. Each  
share carries one vote at the General Meeting.
