Net Insight to supply backbone network for cable TV distribution in an African country

Stockholm, Sweden - Net Insight, a leading provider of efficient optical

to deliver the Nimbra platform for a cable TV distribution network in Africa.


A national telecom operator in an African country is deploying a cable TV
distribution network. The network shall initially multicast IP TV services
between 15 regional sites and carry regionally inserted native video content
with 100% Quality of Service.

Net Insight will provide the CATV backbone network where the central headend is
implemented using multiple Nimbra 680 high-capacity switches and all local
distribution sites are served by Nimbra 360 nodes.
