PER AVANDER MANAGING DIRECTOR AND CEO OF BILIA
Today Bilia’s Board of Directors appointed Per Avander as Managing Director and CEO of Bilia, starting 4 May 2011. Per Avander, currently Managing Director of Bilia Personbilar AB, will succeed Jan Pettersson, who has chosen to exercise his option to leave his position at the age of 62 years. Per Avander, who is 49 years old, began his career at Bilia in 2001 as head of Bilia’s car operation in Stockholm. In 2008 he became Managing Director of Bilia Personbilar AB, the biggest company in the Bilia Group, and that same year was also appointed a member of the Group Management. Per Avander has worked in the car industry since 1983, where he has held several prominent positions, including that of Managing Director of Din Bil in Gothenburg and Stockholm.
Per Avander lives in Stockholm, is married and has 3 children. Mats Qviberg, Bilia’s Chairman, says: “We are pleased to have been able to recruit a successor to Jan Pettersson from within Bilia. Per Avander has a solid knowledge of the industry and a good understanding of Bilia’s business operations. He has performed well in his management positions within Bilia and has always reported good profits.” Jan Pettersson will continue to be involved in Bilia. The Nominating Committee intends to recommend re-election of Jan Pettersson. Provided the AGM approves, Bilia’s Board of Directors intends to appoint Jan Pettersson Deputy Chairman.
