BILIA ACQUIRES WORKSHOP IN HAMMARBY

An agreement has been reached with AB Wilhelm Kindwall to acquire the company’s workshop business in Hammarby and take possession in April 2011. The buyer is the Bilia subsidiary Bilia Personbilar AB. The agreement is conditional on the approval of the parties’ boards of directors. The workshop is located in Hammarby, Stockholm and is authorized to service Ford and Kia, among other makes. The number of employees is 16 and annual turnover is estimated to amount initially to about SEK 22 M. It is Bilia’s intention to add Volvo and Renault to the brands serviced, which means turnover is expected to increase and amount to more than SEK 35 M in 2013. The purchase consideration, operating assets less operating liabilities, amounts to about SEK 8 M.

In a comment on the acquisition, Bilia’s Managing Director Jan Pettersson says:

“The facility in Hammarby is well situated and we can offer all customers in the area first-class service. The area is under expansion and we see good growth opportunity. We expect to hire additional staff.”
