ARCADIS (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the international consultancy, design, engineering and management services company, today announced that its subsidiary Davis Langdon & Seah, the leading Asian cost and project management consultancy, will change its name to Langdon & Seah effective today. The name change reflects the departure from the Davis Langdon group of companies resulting in the recent merger with ARCADIS.
Founded in Singapore in 1934, Langdon & Seah is the longest established and largest cost/project management and quantity surveying consultancy in Asia. The company has close to 3,000 people working from 37 office locations in mainland China, Hong Kong/Macau and other parts of Asia, including Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Korea, India and affiliates in Malaysia and Brunei. The company holds the #1 or #2 market position in its field of activities in all countries where it operates. Langdon & Seah merged with ARCADIS in early April 2012.
Stephanie Hottenhuis, ARCADIS Executive Board member responsible for Asia said: "The merger with Langdon & Seah has provided us with a strong platform for growth with ample opportunities for synergies in one of the most dynamic regions in the world. The current name change will allow us to maintain the rich history of Langdon & Seah and its long track record of success in Asia. At the same time we are forging ahead to drive the synergies that we believe can strongly benefit our clients."
