ZetaDisplay: Acquires Marketmedia Oy in Finland and continues its progress towards becoming a leading European supplier of Digital Signage

ZetaDisplay has entered into an agreement to acquire Marketmedia Oy, which is the largest supplier of Digital Signage in Finland. This investment is a further increment in ZetaDisplay's efforts to become established as a leading supplier of Digital Signage in the European market. Together with ZetaDisplay's existing operations in Finland, this joint business will take up a more leading position, with a very strong client base. The Marketmedia client base includes, among others, Veikkaus (the Finnish national betting agency), Tikkurila, Starkki, Stockman and Onninen. By means of this acquisition ZetaDisplay will significantly increase its growth and continue to be an active player in the consolidation of the industry.

The background to the acquisition of Marketmedia                             

ZetaDisplay is today a leading supplier to major chains in the retailing and service sectors. The company has 40 or so employees, and sales offices located in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Estonia and the Netherlands. ZetaDisplay has a large installed client base in the European market, with such clients as Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, HEMA, TeamSportia, ICA, Hesburger, KotiPizza, Euromaster, Vianor, MIO and many more.

Marketmedia is Finland's largest and leading supplier of Digital Signage, with over ten years’ experience in the industry and about fifteen employees. Marketmedia has a strong position within retail and a leading position within the gaming market, where the company has implemented extensive installations for Veikkaus (the Finnish national betting agency).

For 2014 Marketmedia had a turnover of 3.4 M€ (approx. 32 MSEK), with a positive EBITDA-result of 0.4 M€ (approx. 3.7 MSEK) and an operating profit of 0.26 M€ (approx. 2.4 MSEK).

Implementation of the acquisition of Marketmedia

The acquisition of Marketmedia is to take place by ZetaDisplay acquiring all shares in Marketmedia by a cash payment amounting to approx. 2 M€ (approx. 18.6 MSEK). ZetaDisplay intends to finance the acquisition through debt financing via, among others, banks and other lending institutions. Payment for the shares is scheduled for March 2015.
