At the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), elderly care services now offer not only "visible" companionship but also "within-reach" convenience.
Walking into the Health Services Section, the "AI Medical Companion Robot" from Beijing Shouyun Medical Technology Group Co., Ltd. demonstrated functions including full-process precise map navigation, automatic check-in, "voice + vibration" dual reminders for queuing and waiting, and AI automatic organisation of consultation conversations.
A staff member from Shouyun Medical noted that this product, relying on technologies such as cloud collaboration and efficient IoT, focuses on high-precision in-hospital navigation and full-process accompaniment. It has already been piloted in three hospitals in Beijing and will be extended to more hospitals and community elderly care stations in the future, making "having someone by your side" and "knowing when to remind you" standard features.
Mr. and Mrs. Zhen, Beijing residents in their seventies, made a special trip to inquire about elderly care services. The couple said they wanted "someone to keep an eye on things" for both routine medical visits and travel.
Beijing Health and Elderly Care Group Co., Ltd. presented its "butler-style quality elderly care life services." In the Engineering Consulting & Construction Services Section, many enterprises offered new solutions for elderly-oriented renovation of public facilities and homes. The demolish-and-rebuild-in-place project at Building 19, Kaiyangli Third District, Fengtai, Beijing, undertaken by China Construction Integrated Science & Technology Co., Ltd., was showcased as a modular construction case, with elderly-oriented design moved forward to the module production stage. Li Minghui, Project Design Manager of China Construction Integrated, introduced that the new building has added elderly-friendly facilities such as elderly-friendly lighting and barrier-free ramps in public areas. Elevators have been installed in the building to solve the difficulty elderly people face in going up and down stairs, embedding elderly-oriented details into the building itself through new construction technologies.
CIFTIS is a window for observation. This year's Health Services Section covers a total area of 7,500 square metres, with many exhibitors using real-scene simulations to bring future elderly care services "right before your eyes." Smart companionship, rehabilitation aids, and smart nursing are no longer concepts on display boards, but solutions that can be touched, tried out, and brought into communities and homes.
