Lysaker, 2012-02-28 13:18 CET (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The launch of NASDAQ OMX Commodities for Genium INET is imminent, the first day of trading on the new Genium INET platform will 5 March 2012 as previously announced. The weekend 3-4^th of March will feature mandatory activities for all members. Details on the launch preparation activities, the launch weekend plan and the roll back framework are available on the member extranet.

Now there is also a go live FAQ document available, we strongly recommend that all members review the document as soon as possible to avoid any unnecessary problems during the go live process. Additional activities and plans will be updated through exchange notices or member IT notices if necessary.

If not done so yet, members should verify the production connectivity immediately. Please report your results to commodities.geniuminet@nasdaqomx.com. If you are unsure how to do this, we will guide you.

If not done so yet, members should immediately verify that they will attend confidence testing first coming Saturday 3rd of March. To do so, please send a written confirmation as soon as possible to commodities.geniuminet@nasdaqomx.com with the contact details of the people who will be attending the go live testing. If there are reasons why you cannot attend testing on Saturday, please confirm that you are not attending.

An updated version r24621 of Trading Workstation (TW) has been published on the member extranet February 27, the use of this version is recommended but not mandatory link: http://nordic.nasdaqomxtrader.com/digitalAssets/78/78617_tw_r24621.msi
The Market model document has been updated to reflect the set up used during the MWAT period, which will also be the set-up for the go live.

Launch preparations

FIX users are reminded of the need to order production fix sessions and production passwords as they will not be migrated over from External Test System 4. FIX users should have been ordered no later than 20^th February, additional orders cannot be guaranteed before post go live. Please contact memberservices@nasdaqomx.com for more information if this raises any concerns.
Please download the go live trading and clearing applications from the member extranet found in the go live section and initiate necessary internal procedures for applying these applications in your production environments.
If you need GCF production data post go live please send a request to operator@nasdaqomx.com. If you are a FIX protocol user, this might be relevant for you if you want to use the GCF for market data.

The test system availability

Every workday from 08.00 to 15.30 CET until Thursday the 1st of March (including), i.e. the test environment is not available on Friday 2 March. There is no maintenance scheduled for this last week before go live. Timeline

IMMEDIATELY – Production environment connectivity testing

To ensure that Members have properly configured their trading applications, the production environment is open for connectivity testing. However, please note that login will not be possible before the confidence testing on launch Saturday 3 March. Please ensure connectivity tests (telnet) are done for all applicable protocols.

Launch weekend initiated Friday 2 March

A summary of the activities and timeline is outlined below; the detailed presentation is published on the member web under the section “Go Live”.

Friday 2 March NASDAQ OMX will publish an IT-notice to all member go live contacts about the migration initiated after CLICK/SECUR production closing Friday evening.

The production system will have data migrated from a CLICK/SECUR production database, 2 March 2012. All current trader IDs from CLICK/SECUR production will be migrated.

After the closing of the markets the launch preparations will be started and evening jobs will be initiated. Please note, the CLICK/SECUR production and CLICK/SECUR test environments will be shut down after the commodities market closes Friday evening, and will not open again.

Members, Brokers, Settlement Banks, Independent Software Vendors, Market Data Vendors, Service Bureaus and Data Centers should initiate their migration activities according to their launch plans.

Saturday 3 March – Confidence Test

Approximately 11.00 CET on Saturday 3 March, NASDAQ OMX will have completed the migration and open the production environment for connectivity and reference data download. An IT-notice to start the Genium INET Commodities confidence test will be sent to all member contacts.

Members and Data Centers should connect and login with all applicable applications and download reference data to prepare for Monday morning. All markets will be in closed state. The confidence test should be completed as soon as possible but by latest 15.00 CET.

After a completed and successful confidence test each member should send an email to commodities.geniuminet@nasdaqomx.com confirming user IDs used, whether the confidence test has been successfully completed and a verification that the member is ready to go live.

Following the 15:00 deadline, NASDAQ OMX will compile all member confirmations, solve connectivity issues and decide to proceed to go live. NASDAQ OMX will not close the system for connectivity until this process has been completed.

Latest 17.30 CET NASDAQ OMX will send an IT notice will be published to confirm that the migration has been completed and NASDAQ OMX and members are ready to go live on Monday morning.

Following a successful migration, GeniumINET will be available for logins no later than 06:30 CET Monday 5th March.

Sunday 4 March– No activities – reserved for roll back

Sunday 4 March is reserved in case a roll back scenario. In case a roll back is necessary this will be communicated no later than 17.30 CET on Saturday. Members participating in the confidence test on Saturday need to be prepared to be available on Sunday 12-15 CET for CLICK/SECUR confidence testing if a roll-back decision is made.

Monday 5 March – Genium INET Commodities Launch

The Genium INET system will open as normal using the same schedules for current CLICK/SECUR production.

Communication during the launch weekend

For communication NASDAQ OMX will use a combination of e-mail list contacts, exchange/IT notices and updates on the Genium INET member extranet. NASDAQ OMX may also contact individual members for confirmation by mail or phone.
