Free ISDN Turbo from Telenor

In order to offer ISDN Turbo, Telenor Internett compresses the amounts of data the customer takes from the Internet. The increase in speed the customer experiences will vary, depending on whether the information downloaded from the Internet has already been greatly compressed. E-mail and text files will normally be downloaded a great deal faster than previously, while the downloading of pictures, graphics and music files, which are already compressed, will not be quite as fast. However, what this means overall, is that the customer will experience a much faster Internet, even if the customer is not actually getting a greater bandwidth.
"Norway is one of the very first countries to introduce ISDN Turbo. The service is currently only available in Germany and Denmark. We are particularly delighted to be able to offer it to Norwegian Internet users at this early stage," says Knut Haakon Nilsen, President and CEO of Telenor Internett.
