Record readership for Metro Stockholm
BERTRANGE, Luxembourg, Oct. 30, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Metro International S.A. ("Metro") (Nasdaq:MTROA) (Nasdaq:MTROB), the international newspaper group, today announced the first findings of the latest worldwide readership survey by Gallup. The survey last week in Stockholm coincided with the launch of a new free newspaper by a competitor publishing group and shows that Metro Stockholm now has 633,000 daily readers, compared to the rival's 268,000 readers.

Nycomed Sold to Investor Group led by CSFB Private Equity
GOTHENBURG, Sweden, Oct. 30, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Nordic Capital has made an agreement to sell the Danish pharmaceutical company, Nycomed, to a company owned by CSFB Private Equity, Blackstone Capital Partners and NIB Private Equity NV. Bure's (Stockholm:BURE) shareholding in Nycomed via Nordic Capital amounts to 7.7 per cent and the invested capital to SEK 113M. As a result of the sale, Bure frees up substantial capital.
